He was born in Thessaloniki and graduated from the School of Medicine of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
He completed his residency in Ophthalmology at the Hippocration University Hospital of Thessaloniki.
He became Fellow in Pediatric Ophthalmology – Strabismus (children & adults) & Neuro-Ophthalmology, in Pediatric Eye Center of Greece (Accredited ICO Fellowship Center), Greece.
He became Fellow in Pediatric Ophthalmology – Strabismus (children & adults) & Neuro-Ophthalmology in Pediatric Ophthalmology – Strabismus Department at the University Hospital of Leicester, UK.
