Section of children with severely impaired vision with or without other developmental disorders

Serious damage to the eyes or even the brain can lead to severely reduced vision with or without other developmental disorders, such as genetic diseases, syndromes, autism, cerebral palsy, etc. Because vision develops at a dizzying rate in the first years of life, and affects almost all of a child’s overall development, these children must be checked and treated immediately.

Our special
department for children with impaired vision with or without other developmental disorders is the only one in Greece. It consists of an expanded scientific team that, in addition to specialist pediatric ophthalmologists, includes pediatric optometrists, geneticists and child development consultants. The specific department has been awarded many times to date for its work.
