Every child must be visually ready to face these new school challenges. However, a simple eye exam does NOT test all the visual skills necessary for school needs, such as reading and writing. For this purpose, more specific pediatric ophthalmological assessment tests are required.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The school readiness department<\/strong> is<strong> the only<\/strong> specialized one in Greece and Cyprus. Checks children before and after they enter primary school.
